I have gas boiler heat in my house. I currently have an 80 gal, electric hot water tank and want to convert to a tankless, gas hot water heater. Do you install them? I need an estimate.

Gas water heaters have several advantages over electric water heaters. For one, they are much more energy efficient than electric models. A gas water heater can heat up water at twice the speed as electric water heaters do, while the cost of heating is less than half of that of an electric unit. They also provide a greater water flow. The energy efficiency of gas water heaters can be increased by insulating the pipes and valves that are connected to the unit.
In recent years, the federal government has also introduced tougher energy standards which have increased the energy efficiency of gas water heaters> by up to 10%. This makes these models now even more desirable to home owners who are looking for a way to cut their energy bills. The cost of purchasing and installing a gas water heater is much higher than that of an electric water heater. Typically, an electric model can cost between $500 to $700, while a gas water heater can cost $1000 or more. The cost of installation is also higher because it involves complex venting and combustion specifications.
